Summary : The Board of Education and Local 1737 Amalgamated Transit Union (“Union”) are parties to a collective bargaining agreement which is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2020. Neither the Union nor District requested to renegotiate the Agreement by the December 31, 2020 deadline set forth in the Agreement and the Union and the District desire to continue the Agreement. Therefore, the Board is asked to approve the Extension Agreement which extends the current terms of the Agreement one full year through June 30, 2021.

Recommendation: That the Board approve and ratify the Extension Agreement between the Board of Education of the Douglas County School District RE-1 and Local 1737 Amalgamated Transit Union which extends the current Agreement one full year through June 30, 2021, with all provisions of the Agreement remaining as set forth therein during the terms of this
Extension Agreement under adoption of Consent Agenda.
